| Description: | Biography written during Elvis's lifetime. Includes five chapters on various periods of Elvis's life: "Poor Boy" (the early years and breakthrough), "The King" (rising star in the 50's), "GI Blues" (his army time), "The King Dethroned?" (movie period) and "Return To Splendor" (comeback and later years). With color and black&white pictures. Photographs are captioned. This book is the Dutch-language edition of "Elvis: A Tribute To The King Of Rock" from Dick Tatham, with the same layout and photos. Backcover of this book is similar to the front cover of the original English-language edition. The only difference between the Dutch and English edition is at the end: the English edition reports on the death of Elvis while the Dutch edition does not. The original English-language book was written with the assistance of the Official Elvis Presley Fan Club of Great Britain. This book was also translated into Italian, Danish and Swedish. |
